These days, there is a tremendous increase in the number of online social networking services. On the other hand, the number of active members of such services is not showing any corresponding increase. In light of this, survival of each one of these services is difficult. Most of these services die in their infancy. Therefore, the geeks behind online social networking services are supposed to be more intuitive in order to come up with novel ideas for their services.i.e. targeting a particular niche. In this regard, it is interesting to see Recruit’n targeting job seekers and recruiters. Who does not need a new job?Even when you are having a good job, you are always on the lookout for a better one. Therefore, Recruit’n comes in handy because it is a network of job seekers and recruiter/employers.
I have signed up for this service on an experimental basis. Once you sign up, you can create your own support networks by adding as friends’ recruiters and job seekers that work in your industry or in your geographical location. The bigger your network the better as it’s not always what you know but who you know. Recruit’n also enables you to build your network by posting polls related to your industry or the job market. All jobs and resumes are submitted to google base. The site is well optimized and resumes and jobs are quickly cataloged by the search engines. All profiles are reposted automatically on Google base making it easier for your profile to be found. As if all this is not enough, everything is free on Recruit’n.
The only concern with this service is that your current employer may easily bump into your profile and resume online. Some uncivilized employers may end up victimizing you simply because they know that you are looking for greener pastures. But who cares? That is part of the game in this journey called life.
