Yesterday was a very good day for me.A friend of mine who runs a private Secondary School in Blantyre is beefing up his teaching staff. He had a number of applicants and he invited me and two other colleagues to form the interviewing panel. This being my first time to be on such a panel, even though it was on short notice, I gladly accepted and I was asked to be the Chairman.Yeah, you heard me right, I was the Tcheya! We had some very exciting sessions in which we asked the twelve applicants different questions as to why they considered themselves fit for the job.

It was interesting to note that some of the interviewees were jittery and lacking confidence while others were overconfident and goofing in the process. The selection of successful candidates was done on the same day. This interview has made me realize that many people are looking for employment in Malawi. So if you are employed, please take your time to thank God continually even when your pay is meager because the job market is congested. If you decide to leave your job because of poor pay, others will take it up in no time. As you pray for better perks, you must be thankful to God for what you have been given so far. Remember that whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

The interview has also given a good piece of experience. If you are conducting interviews and you need my services as an interviewer, feel free to get in touch with me:)
