As I was doing my MSc in Computer Engineering at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, I befriended a young man known as Sabelo Dlamini who was doing his BSc (Hons) in Computer Engineering. I used to be the Digital Systems lab demonstrator for Sabelo’s class and besides that we used to stay in the same dormitory-Ansell May. We used to have fun in the TV room during the Orlando Pirates (Amabhakabhaka) vs Kaizer Chiefs (Amakhosi) games.Sabelo is now working for Cisco in North Carolina, USA. He has sent me some information about job openings that have emerged at the Cisco offices in Southern Africa.
Cisco is looking to recruit some talented Computer Science and Engineering final year students from South Africa, Namibia and Botswana for their Associate Network Consulting Engineer training program in South Africa. Cisco’s partner, Torque IT will provide program training in Johannesburg. The guys who will undergo this training will eventually become advanced services team members and they will focus on delivering complex network design and performance optimization to Cisco’s premium customers. If you feel like applying for this opportunity, head to this site , click on the available locations, pick a location of your choice( South Africa, Namibia or Botswana) and submit your application. You just have to upload your CV.The deadline is October 3, 2008.
Those of you who come from other African countries, I strongly encourage you to submit your applications as well. Although this advert targets students from South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, Cisco, being a global company will easily consider your application if it is good. After all, you will lose nothing in the event that your application is not successful.
Please spread the word to the rest of your friends and even enemies. Do not be selfish, ne!

South Africa is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I love South Africa! Anyway, let me go back to basics, truly, I am looking for both friends and partners to network with in South Africa and United States. It is for this particular reason, I would like to discuss the opportunity of networking and doing business together with friends in South Africa. Build digital bridge, trust, mutual cooperation, share the leads, and network and be in each others network. I really appreciate
your time and look forward to connecting.
