I am working on one of my clients SEO and I am wondered to see his hosting account. It is just $9 an year and its performance is excellent. I am wondering if it is right thing to do to go with such a cheap host? I have wordpress blogs and I have read a lot about each issue prior to start any of my own blog. I think that I can do everything without any help so it is just like a blessing to be informative and skilled at that.

I am wondering what we see to decide a hosting plan. This comment has helped me to understand some basics issues about uniquelinks. As I have mentioned in the post, this was the very first time for me to experience this problem. Prior to this,my blog had been up for almost 11 months without any problems at all. Because it went down on its own without me doing anything at all, I started thinking that probably it is a uniquelinks problem. After querying the support team and being offline for two days, I was not helped and I ran out of options. I needed to get back online as soon as possible or else my blog was going to die. As a result, I resorted to searching for a hosting service that offers support for Wordpress. After one hour of searching, I found my current host. Even though, I transferred my blog and mail service, I still maintain my domain registration with uniquelinks and I do not intend to transfer it.Finally, my advice to Uniquelinks, as I said in the post, is that you must consider integrating Wordpress support in your support team. Wordpress is the most popular blogging platform. I am sure Pakistani bloggers will be extremely excited when you start providing Wordpress support just like other sites do.

@Muneer: Good to see you comment on this post. Just came across this post. I work with unique links. I do not know what could have been the exact problem at that time, yet in general I may explain a bit.1. It must be understood that there are some issues related to scripts while others are related to servers and yet other related to server as well as script. In first case hosting company has very little to do with it, a developer or the support forum of the script writer can assist. In other case it is hosting company duly directed by the site owner / script writer who resolve the issue.2. In all cases certain basic information are required to process the case further for rectification. In my experience mostly we get --my site is not working, it was fine earlier or there is some database issue please correct it.
The information are no adequate in most case to even reach the areas / page to test it.
While in other cases -- the error message appearing clearly indicates that the error is in the script, since many of the customer install word press using fantastico without having know how of back end scripts, they want hosting company to contact script owners support team / forums to assist in correcting the error and so on. This results in frustrating delays.
3. Other area relates to the cost, at unique links the blog was paying one moth cost of the fee its paying now and yet the first statement on this post says that was first problem of the year meaning there hasn't been an issue over the year. So in all sincerity, the credit of that part must be given to uniquelinks. The post also mentions that the customer like the company, obviously its based on customer service provider relationship.4. At unique links we are providing services not with a business minded approach but its almost no cost no profit service to provide opportunities to Pakistanis to learn and host web sites.5. Our service are aimed to support those who do not have credit cards and lot on money like this blogger has, who can pay 5 to 600 per month (we are getting Rs 600 per year for hosting part for 500 MB hosting)6. So far due to our services, there has been about 10 hosting companies raised as our resellers and later went on with own dedicated servers,in areas where there was no access of hosting like mardan, gujrat, mirpur, peshawar etc.7. Obviously its very hard to sustain services at these levels of prices while also providing high quality. This only comes with dedication to serve and not to earn,8. As a mark of our quality and confidence in our services, we are one the very few companies in Pakistan offering independent uptick record from a third party right at our home page.9. http://www.webhostingstuff.com/uptime/UniqueLinks.html Our servers have not been since 2006 and you can have a look at the link for limited down times in earlier years also.Yet having said that, I do regret not having been able to assist, though I do not know the situation.
