While in China, on the final day of the very successful 2017 International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Informatics, we visited the Great Wall and Summer Place. It was an awesome day. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Our journey started in the morning from China Hall of Science and Technology. Our team of more than 30 people travelled from there to the Great Wall in Badaling. The Great Wall is a series of fortifications built along an east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China to protect the Chinese people from raids invasions of the nomadic Eurasian people.

At Great Wall, this was one of the many Chinese people that kept on coming to me for a photo

In the afternoon, we went to the Summer Place. This is  a vast area composed of lakes, gardens, and palaces. It was an imperial garden in Qing Dynasty. The major features dominating this place are the Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake.
